ITV distributes both our own ITV Studios produced and acquired programmes and formats worldwide. The Royalty Payments team is responsible for reporting to producers, broadcasters, other stakeholders and contributors for their shares of the profit that is generated from these sales. The team is part of central Finance Operations and provides support to most business areas across ITV. The Royalty Payments team collaborates closely with colleagues in Talent Payments, Rights, Business Affairs and Finance.
We have recently had an opportunity arise for a New Deals Assistant to join the Royalty Payments team on a permanent basis. You will work with the New Deals Manager to assess how to best set up each new reporting obligation, deciding whether to systemise or create a bespoke reporting template. To do this you will need to collate and interpret legal and financial information from contracts and various ITV rights and finance systems. You will be passionate about television and eager to contribute to the success of ITV.
Responsibilities
* Reviewing new deal contracts and ensuring the right reporting method (automated or manual) is identified
* Setting up new reporting templates
* Working with other team members to solve queries
* Providing technical guidance and support to other team members
* Working effectively with other areas of the business
* Assisting other members of the team to hit deadlines and KPIs when required
* Assisting with new Royalty system testing and migration activities as required
* Working with the New Deals Manager to deliver continuous process improvements
* Keeping up to date with new media and industry developments
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)...
* Experience of working in a media royalties, rights, talent payments or legal environment
* Experience of reading and interpreting complex legal documents
* Good understanding of end-to-end financial processes
* Must be confident using Excel and working with data
