Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Executive to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to join our rapidly growing beauty brand, byellie. In this role, you will own the business’s stock on hand position, maintaining a cash positive position while driving revenue growth and strong gross profit margin seasonally throughout the year. You will collaborate closely with trading/ecommerce, product, and marketing teams to ensure the business has the right product, in the right place at the right time to meet commercial targets.
Responsibilities:
* Inventory Management: Ensure balanced stock levels throughout the year, minimize overbuys, maximize core line availability, and manage a defined OTB strategy. Manage the WSSI/MSSI and PO process to ensure buys align with the commercial budget and cash flow forecast while maintaining positive relationships with suppliers.
* Logistics: Oversee the end-to-end logistics process, including importation to 3PL or in-house, customs clearance, and transportation, collaborating with freight forwarders to optimize routes and reduce costs.
* Range Architecture: Build a product range architecture that balances core offerings with seasonal and on-trend NPD, providing the framework for the product function to curate a balanced product assortment that maximizes commercial opportunity.
* Merchandise Planning: Develop and execute a profitable merchandise strategy that aligns with the byellie vision and key market trends. Collaborate with e-commerce and marketing functions to integrate these plans into the commercial calendar.
* Pricing Strategy: Alongside the Trading function, own the RRP strategy for D2C channels, ensuring optimized gross profit margin and customer conversion rate.
Minimum Requirements:
* 3+ years’ experience in buying & merchandising in a D2C environment.
* Experienced in logistics, inventory forecasting, merchandising & range planning.
* Strong analytical thinker with the ability to procure and treat data efficiently (Excel, etc.).
* Experience with using WSSI/MSSI to manage and report on stock on-hand positioning.
* Understanding of e-commerce marketing activity and retail.
* Understanding of P&L structures (e.g. COGS & Direct costs) and the relationship between product margins and the bottom line.
* Ability to collaborate within a small, dynamic team and the versatility to take on various roles as needed.

* Experience in buying stock across multiple locations/countries, knowledge of marketing and forecasting.
Job Type:
Part-time to go into full-time.
Expected hours:
20 – 27 per week with a plan to move to full-time.
