As a Senior Data & AI Consultant within our successful Business Consulting practice, you alongside a collaborative team of colleagues, will take a central role in providing support to our clients with a focus on driving their business outcomes using data. You will also support the growth of the wider evolving business consulting function.
A key focus of the role will be to deliver practical advice to clients relating to their enterprise data strategies whilst looking out for opportunities to support them further leveraging our wider skillsets and propositions. You will work across the Business Consulting and Technology Advisory Practice to generate pull through of CGI services at scale across the UK.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
This Senior Data & AI strategy consultant is responsible for the provision of strategic direction for clients to improve their business decisions using data and AI. The primary focus will be on supporting our clients to become data informed and digitally enabled to support their targeted business outcomes. Coupled with this you would be expected to develop and improve consultative offerings in this space and promote our services.
The role will involve providing strategic advice around how our clients can best generate business value from data and AI taking a holistic view of their capabilities and opportunities. This will involve considering a diverse array of legacy and cloud-based environments and clients at different levels of data and AI maturity. You will work closely with relevant teams such as Client Account Teams, Emerging Technology Practice, Data Analytics and Global Technology Operations service delivery teams and carry a degree of responsibility in delivering acceptable financial performance, for projects you are involved in.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
As a Senior Data and AI Consultant you will be experienced, potentially on the client side, consultancy side or both, with a background in analytically driven business performance improvement. We’re looking for proven capability at a senior level gained through working in a consultative capacity for a large scale organisation, and with a track-record in relationship development and growth, leading the delivery of trusted services. You will likely have been a data analytics practitioner who has moved into a more consultative role and will be passionate about driving decisions using quality data driven evidence and automation. You will understand strategic data handling needs at an enterprise level and have a detailed knowledge of the development of insight through technologies in the analytics space such as SQL, R, Python Power BI, and Tableau. Whilst we do not require deep expertise in this area the ideal candidate would also understand the landscape of emerging generative applications, how these can support business performance and what the pitfalls are.
You will have the ability to deliver high quality business consulting services to meet clients’ needs which requires presentation skills and translating complex concepts into simple language. You will support the development and growth of our high-performing business consulting team to surpass their current strong capabilities, so that we continue to bring cutting-edge thinking and consistent high-quality services to our clients.
The successful candidate must demonstrate experience in:
• Providing consulting services to deliver insights and / or AI solutions that generate value
• Translating the business strategy into a data strategy that delivers clients’ goals
• Articulating the benefits of data insights into business and/or customer value and outcomes
• Owning a high-quality client deliverable or solution
• Leading client meetings, interviews and/or workshops
• Supporting complex transformation projects and leading small teams as part of a wider engagement (e.g. as workstream lead)
• Contributing towards Business Development and Practice Development activities (such as proposition development)
• Managing stakeholder relationships
• Solving complex challenges with a highly analytical mind
• Managing engagement timelines, e.g. with relations to specific deliverable(s) or workstream(s)
