Morgan Hunt are working with a high performing Further Education College in London to recruit a Curriculum Manager - Green Skills and Engineering
Reports to: Director of Faculty
Job Summary: The Curriculum Manager will oversee a team within the Green Technologies curriculum, which includes courses such as Photovoltaic Systems, Solar Thermal Energy, and Air Source Heat Pumps. This role involves ensuring high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment in alignment with the School's Quality Improvement protocols, Key Performance Indicators, and strategic priorities. The post holder will also maintain positive student behaviours and contribute to the college's duty manager rota, providing top-tier tutoring and pastoral care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. High-Quality Teaching: Plan and deliver exceptional teaching, learning, and assessment across various courses, adhering to college standards and awarding body requirements.
2. Curriculum Development: Implement curriculum and course development, ensuring effective curriculum delivery.
3. Course Materials: Develop comprehensive schemes of learning and work/materials aligned with course objectives, assessment methods, and accreditation standards.
4. Team Collaboration: Contribute to teamwork in course delivery, including conducting group tutorials for study programs.
5. Quality Assurance: Participate in writing course reviews, the College quality assurance cycle, and action plans with the course team.
6. Team Leadership: Lead regular course team meetings to monitor performance and support team members.
7. Moderation/Verification: Manage and deliver robust course moderation/verification as the standards verifier/internal verifier for your subject specialism.
Qualifications and Requirements:
8. GCSEs in English and Maths (grade C/4 or above) or Functional Skills Qualification in English and Maths at Level 2.
9. Minimum Level 3 qualification in the relevant subject area specialism.
10. Full teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or DTLLS).
11. Approved Internal Quality Assurance qualification (desirable) or willingness to obtain one.
12. First line management qualification (desirable).
13. Willingness to complete an IQA qualification within 12 months if not already obtained.
