The Business and Administration Division provides administration, clerical and project support to professional colleagues working in Public Health and Health Policy. This role carries out tasks that could be described as PA type tasks, but our role is much more than that. We are looking to attract candidates that have significant experience in carrying out business and administration type tasks. As a service, we will support and encourage you to develop your administration skills. In return, we will help develop your administration, secretarial and clerical skills. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team of staff, developing your own skills and supporting the wide range of functions that Public Health and Health Policy provide.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to become a member of the Business & Administration Team and provide administration support to the Quit Your Way Tobacco Control Team. This post would complete administrative tasks that will support the Tobacco Control Practitioners delivering a high-quality service to their patients. The post would also be updating the National Smoking Cessation database with valuable performance data from the service contributing to Quit Your Way working towards the Local Delivery Plan (LDP) Standards. In addition to this, you will provide administrative support to both the QYW community and acute teams and will be based in Pennywell All Care Centre but with an expectation to travel across other sites within NHS Lothian.
Importantly, the post will undertake direct line management duties of Business Support Assistants within the team and will support the wider B&A team, with cross-skilling applied across B&A functions to ensure sufficient level of cover in place to meet service demands.
