Mayen Estate is a 900 acre family-run estate in the stunning Deveron Valley near Rothiemay in Banffshire. Estate activity includes a stock farm, holiday cottages, a commercial shoot and renewables.
We are seeking a Bookkeeper to oversee the accounts for several business interests and companies.
About the Role:
* Day to day bookkeeping for all company activity
* Monthly bookkeeping of renewable energy turbine, properties company and woodchip biomass plant
* Prepare monthly HMRC and VAT reconciliations for review and submission
* Cash book and bank reconciliation including processing payments
* Overseeing petty cash and conducting weekly reconciliations
* Recording payroll journals and reconciling all control accounts
* Prepare monthly financial reports on all businesses
* Carry out project job cost analysis and monthly reporting of capital and ongoing estate projects
* Estate insurances
* Actively look to automate and streamline processes within the role's area of responsibility
* Accurate and up to date record keeping
* Undertaking additional finance-related tasks as necessary
About You:
Essential Experience:
* Experience of using Xero
* You will be regularly handling confidential and sensitive information and therefore a high degree of discretion is paramount.
Desirable Experience:
* Degree Qualified or Part Qualified with Accounting or Finance Degree
* Experience of working in a farming, estate or other rural environment
Part time 25 hours per week (hours flexible)
