JOB SUMMARY
The Custodial Foreman supervises one or more custodial teams. The Custodial Foreman provides courteous customer service and helps coordinate maintenance and upkeep of office spaces, common areas, lobbies, corridors, AB units, restrooms, stairways, etc. The incumbent will follow the procedures and plans according to guidelines outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and any applicable policies. The Custodial Foreman’s duty will also include resolving or elevating to the correct level of management any issues raised by the customer, client, or Balad Air Base residents.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Supervise all custodial employees assigned to the department to ensure compliance to the PWS.
2. Prepare and transmit daily, weekly, and monthly reports as needed to management.
3. Conduct or provide oversight for company directed training within the custodial department.
4. Sign for custodial property and maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory.
5. Report items that are unaccounted for in a timely manner.
6. Order and/or maintain all required materials needed to operate a successful custodial department.
7. Assist or direct employees in work related, personal or family matter.
8. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
9. Operate powered cleaning equipment.
10. Responsible for cleaning and inspecting vacant, TDY, and transient quarters, including the removal of abandoned personal effects and completing inspection and inventory check sheets.
11. Maintain knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, and procedures.
12. Responsible for reporting any Life Health Safety (LHS) issues to Operation & Maintenance (O&M) supervisor.
13. Responsible for completing service order requests (SORs) for janitorial services.
14. Other duties as assigned by the management.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
15. Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
16. Good people skills.
17. Proficiency in time management.
18. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
19. A minimum of three years of experience in janitorial services is preferred.
20. A minimum of one year’s experience in a supervisor’s role is preferred.
21. A minimum of one-year experience in overseas contracting is preferred.
22. Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of issues in a courteous, professional manner.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK CONDITIONS
23. Physical requirements may include lifting to 35 lbs., team lifting 50 lbs., climbing, extended sitting and standing, stooping, stretching, or bending.
24. Individuals must be able to sit and concentrate for extended periods.
25. Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
26. Ability to work long hours, often exposure to weather and possible hazardous conditions.
27. Personnel should be aware of the possibility of moving on short notice under adverse conditions.
