As a Cyber security analyst you will be a crucial part of the IT Services and security team, focusing on supporting the organisation's cybersecurity posture. This role provides a learning platform for individuals eager to develop their cybersecurity skills, working alongside senior security professionals to monitor, analyse, and respond to potential security threats.
Essential Skills
1. IT Security Fundamentals: A strong foundation in IT security concepts, including knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and basic encryption techniques.
2. Cloud Security (Azure, AWS): Familiarity with cloud security best practices and services, focusing on Azure and AWS environments.
3. SIEM Solutions: Exposure to Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools like Splunk or Azure Sentinel, including log analysis and incident response.
4. ISMS and ITIL Frameworks: Working knowledge of Information Security Management Systems and ITIL frameworks for managing and improving security operations.
5. Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong ability to analyse security data and communicate findings effectively within the team.
