Day to Day duties of a Carpenter:
1. Installing supports for pipes, equipment
2. Fixtures prior to installation
3. Cut openings in structure to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings, using hand and power tools
4. Repair and maintain plumbing, replacing defective washers, replacing or mending boking pipes and opening clogged drains, toilets, gutters, rainwater pipes and any other plumbing work
5. Undertake patch plastering works, tiling, floor laying, decorating replacing of internal and external doors
6. Utilise both electronic and paper-based systems to accurately record documentation including the use of materials against each job
7. Carpentry: Skirting, hang doors, fitting kitchens
8. 1st/2nd fix carpentry
9. Doors
10. Reactive maintenance
Requirements (Skills & Qualifications) of a Carpenter:
11. Experience in residential properties.
12. Good social skills
13. Good customer service
14. Asbestos awareness certificate – (We supply)
15. DBS check ( We supply)
16. Drivers License
17. NVQ in the trade
18. Multi skilled – Patch plaster, plumbing
