Associate Civil Engineer
Location: Manchester (with occasional travel to London, once a quarter)
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an Associate Civil Engineer to establish a strong presence in Manchester, supporting the expansion of civil engineering operations. The role requires a confident, proactive individual who can take ownership of the design process for the first year and act as a trusted "boots on the ground" for Manchester-based projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the design aspects of civil engineering projects with confidence and precision.
2. Collaborate on business development activities, helping to grow the Manchester portfolio.
3. Support a variety of projects, including:
1. Various Housing schemes
2. Large Developments in Manchester and surrounding areas
3. Interesting and complex listed building projects that require civil engineering expertise.
4. Work closely with the London-based team, ensuring seamless technical integration and alignment.
Requirements:
1. A good level of previous experience in civil engineering.
2. Proven ability to take ownership of design-focused roles, particularly in the first year.
3. Versatility to manage a variety of project types.
4. Strong interpersonal and business development skills.
5. A proactive, self-motivated approach to work.
6. Willingness to travel to London quarterly (or more frequently if required).
