Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been re-engaged by a major North Devon employer to assist in their search for a Purchase Ledger Clerk. The business has a major stronghold in the services sector and now operates on an international scale.
This is a full-time, permanent position and the company offers hybrid working which could see the successful candidate completing the majority of the hours on a remote basis.
The company seeks to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk to support their Barnstaple based AP team. The position works within a friendly and highly experienced team that operate in a fast-paced environment.
Core responsibilities to include:
- Act as an initial point of contact for supplier enquiries and liaise with colleagues across all remits to resolve discrepancies
- Creation and location of invoices ensuring appropriate VAT status and invoice coding
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Ensure payment authorisation of supplier invoices
- Assisting with month end procedures
- Assisting with AP system process improvements
For this opportunity we seek an ambitious and confident applicant who possess at least 4-6 months of recently gained experience in a general ledger position, ideally within a high-volume environment. Candidates should possess good general MS Office experience to include proficient use of Excel. This is a fast-paced department that will call for strong multi-tasking, exceptional internal/external communication skills and an excellent attention to detail.
