Vibe Recruit's client based in Blackwood is currently looking to appoint Mechanical Technicians to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Role Specification
Overview
To maximise machines' output and maintain manufacturing processes in a fast-paced and busy production environment. To continuously improve manufacturing processes in order to maximise safety, quality, and productivity of production lines.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provision of engineering and operational support to manufacturing processes.
2. Fault finding and corrective actions on all production equipment.
3. Machine setting and repairs in order to achieve optimal product specification and machine performance.
4. Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance program.
5. Monitoring machinery condition and planning and carrying out all essential repairs.
6. Promoting TPM approach, working on various engineering projects.
7. Responding to minor and major breakdowns.
8. Preparation of sub-assemblies.
9. Tool changes.
10. Other tasks as reasonably requested by the Manager.
Person Specification
Qualifications
A formal qualification, ONC/HNC, BTEC/City and Guilds in an Engineering Discipline/apprenticeship.
Experience
Experience of high-speed, high-volume production environment. Machine setting and adjustments to meet required quality/performance. Fault finding and problem solving on fast-paced PLC controlled machinery.
