Connect Education is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school located in a rural area of Northumberland, within a 15-mile radius of Morpeth. This is a full-time, one-to-one support role with a pupil in a mainstream primary setting.
About the Role:
In this full-time position, you will provide individualised support to a pupil, ensuring they receive the attention and guidance needed to thrive. You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored support throughout the school day, helping the pupil fully engage in lessons and school activities. No SEN requirements are involved in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer one-to-one support to a pupil during lessons and daily activities.
- Assist the teacher in preparing and delivering interactive and engaging lessons.
- Help foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Provide classroom and learning support to encourage the pupil’s growth and independence.
- Collaborate with the teaching staff to ensure the pupil’s progress and well-being are prioritised.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified to work in a childcare setting
- A full UK driving licence or the means to commute to a rural location.
- A caring, supportive individual with a passion for helping young learners.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with teachers, parents, and pupils.
- Patience, adaptability, and a commitment to ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
- Ideally, you’ll live within a reasonable commuting distance of the school (approximately 15 miles from Morpeth).
