Job summary
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen in the Torbay team, as a full time Band 6 Occupational Therapist, within Adult Social Care.
Our motivated team, deliver holistic person-centred assessments to adults across Torbay within their own homes. We empower individuals to reach their full potential by providing a strength-based approach, maximising their skills and enabling those to live their lives to the fullest.
You will be an excellent communicator, competent in a wide range of clinical areas such as moving and handling, postural positioning, and home adaptations. You will demonstrate flexible problem-solving skills whilst working autonomously or with colleagues from the multi-disciplinary team. You will be part of a supportive team and supervise band 5 colleagues or students to evolve and nurture our future workforce.
To be eligible for this role, you must be a state registered occupational therapist with the HCPC and have full access to a vehicle for work and possession of a full driving license.

Main duties of the job
As part of this role, you may have supervisory responsibility for a Band 5 post or Assistant Practitioner as appropriate
Undertake responsibility for managing a community caseload
Assess and treat patients in a variety of community settings; patient's own home, nursing homes, residential home
