Success in this role will be if you… (deliverables)
23. Failure Analysis : You will be responsible for leading hands-on forensic investigation into failed electronic components, often within short timescales, both to identify the root cause of the failure and recommend options to prevent future occurrence.
24. Materials Development : You will provide expert guidance to HPP’s engineers in both Engineering and Operations regarding material selection and production techniques, whilst also researching and developing new material options that offer a benefit to the Power Unit.
25. Provide advice and guidance to lead materials selection for metallic, plastic and composite materials, including coatings for electronic applications.Support manufacturing and quality departments on material and process issues including liaison with and visiting external suppliers.Produce and develop materials specifications and quality standards.Provide advice on sourcing and selection of external suppliers.Identify and conduct relevant research and development activities focussed on improving materials, processes and characterisation techniques to improve the Power Unit.
