Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a hands-on approach and the ability to work to tight deadlines? Our client is seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to join their dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be a crucial part of our finance department, ensuring smooth operations and accurate financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and present weekly cash flow reports for management. Reconcile daily bank statements, ensuring all transactions are accurately allocated. Review and monitor supplier contracts. Post journals for management information (MI) purposes. Conduct ad hoc analyses and prepare financial figures for management and directors. Perform balance sheet reconciliations. Reconcile merchant service payments. Conduct weekly customer debtor analysis and liaise with debtors to ensure timely payments. Post monthly journals for management accounts, including payroll. Reconcile payments to the master cash book monthly, ensuring accuracy. Post invoices and credit notes to the purchase ledger. Perform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve outstanding queries. Reconcile daily bank statements to the master cash book. Manage invoices: distribution for authorisation, nominal coding, and preparation for the purchase ledger. Scan invoices into Xero for input. Post month-end journals. Reconcile weekly Revolut card transactions. Must-Have Skills and Qualifications: Proficiency in Xero accounting software. Advanced IT literacy, particularly with Word and Excel. Experience with VAT and PAYE. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines with a professional and conscientious attitude.
