Job Description
Salary: Up to £46,800
Shifts: Sunday to Thursday, rotating shift patterns (6am till 2pm and 2pm till 10pm)
Passionate about precision in Food Manufacturing? We're looking for skilled Maintenance Engineers to join our dynamic team in York, home of the Poppets!
What you'll be doing:
1. The daily reporting of breakdowns vs PPM activities
2. Prioritisation of repair work
3. Planning and monitoring machine performance
4. Working with the Planning Department to negotiate machine availability
5. Supporting external contractors
6. Providing technical support for production when required
7. Maintaining the highest standards in housekeeping, adopting a clean as you go policy
8. Completing paperwork and works sign off with the highest standards
Key areas of the role:
1. Carrying out engineering activities
2. Achieving PPM plans and completion rates
3. Maintaining GMP and safety standards within the Engineering Department
4. Implementing and ensuring compliance with engineering processes within the team
5. Ensuring the highest engineering audit standards at all times
6. Maintaining engineering skills and knowledge at the highest level
Qualifications
About you:
1. Able to prove competency in all forms of isolation, electrical safety and safe panel entry
2. Experience in FMCG operations
3. PC literate and able to use computer-based maintenance systems
4. Able to strip machines completely and reassemble them, as well as completing machine size change procedures and their adjustments
