Wise Employment are currently recruiting for a Materials Planning Manager for an established production company in the Callington area within their supply chain department. This is an on-site permanent role on a Salary of up to £52k DOE .
Thisrole is working Monday to Friday 730am to 4pm. What your day will look like as a Materials Planning Manager:
1. Your day will be very varied and be ever changing making this an exciting opportunity and you will have direct responsibility for the management and development of the materials planners.
2. You will manage materials supply and coordinate activities within the rest of supply chain, operations and business teams. You will also manage activities within the commercial teams, procurements and suppliers for the delivery and management of materials and the minimisation of customer service material risks.
3. You will need to ensure the all forecasts and purchase orders are provided in a timely manner to target 100% material availability for the production schedules.
4. Using your communication and creativity skills you will be required to plan and deliver the material requirements for promotion, seasonal and product launches.
5. Predominantly throughout this role, there is a lot of responsibility of managing various times and liaising with suppliers and various departments to ensure a smooth and seamless running of the supply chain department.
6. You will seek new ways to deliver improvements in materials, quality inventory, waste and costs.
7. The right candidate will need to deliver accurate, concise and punctual reporting and ensure the publication of the departments KPI scorecard and communicate the overdue orders, inventory levels and updates on supply risks.
Experience required as a Materials Planning Manager:
8. You are required to have a Degree (Business related) Level Education or Equivalent qualification/ Experience
9. For this role you will need to have Materials Planning/scheduling Supervisory experience within a (preferably food)manufacturing environment.
10. The right candidate will also need an excellent understanding of customer service as well as knowledge Lean Manufacturing principles.
11. Experience and advanced skills in Excel, power point and Microsoft Word is required as well as preferably system implementation development.
12. For this role it is necessary for you to have strong communication in both written and verbal along with confident presentation skills and data/statistical analysis abilities
