This customer facing role uses your excellent understanding of CNC machining and strong people and organisational skills to provide accurate pricing and lead time information. You will build on strong business relationships and continue to secure a wide range of profitable work for the businesses.
The job involves estimation of 3,4 and 5 axis machining, fabrication and sub assembly. You will respond to RFQ's collating information and costs on materials and treatments to prepare bids and quotes and agree contracts. This will involve you working closely with various areas of the business to understand technical challenges, capacity, lead times and materials availability.
You will use your knowledge of CNC Machining / precision engineering, materials and processes alongside your estimating experience to help improve the efficiency of this part of the company, being a key commercial link between customers and the company.
You will have previously worked within a precision engineering environment (ideally aerospace manufacturing), ideally with experience as an estimator or cost engineer. Proficiency with excel / access MS Office programmes is essential.
