Cleaner - Pool and Public Areas

Our Housekeeping team is responsible for maintaining more than 700 units of accommodation; from apartments and penthouses to Lodges and Treehouses, and looking after our public areas and office spaces, so no two days are the same. That’s why it’s the largest team on each Village.

CLEANER - POOL AND PUBLIC AREAS | £11.60 per hour
This is an exciting opportunity to join the housekeeping team working in the busy, fast paced environment of our Subtropical Swimming Pool and the PLAZA, Village Square and Sports Centre.
You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the changing rooms, patrolling and cleaning the village guest areas and welcoming guests into the Subtropical Swimming Paradise.
The ideal candidate will ensure that a high standard of cleanliness is achieved and maintained across all areas, have a good eye for detail and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
Due to the sensitive nature of this role the successful applicant will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) Check. This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence.
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 80 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your hours and days of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. Shifts will fall between 5.30am and 9.30am.
As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Essential requirements:
1. An awareness of general standards of cleanliness and a keen eye for detail
2. Good communication skills
3. Basic technology literacy (for example, use of tablets, apps, smart phone functions)
Desirable requirements:
4. Works well with others in a team
5. Previous experience in the cleaning industry
6. Customer service experience within the hospitality industry
