You will report directly to the VP of Operations. In this position, you will be tasked with creating, implementing, and managing health and safety policies and programs to maintain a safe work environment for all employees and subcontractors. Your primary responsibilities include:
* Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Provide training and support to employees on health and safety practices and emergency procedures.
* Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
* Collaborate with project managers and teams to promote a culture of safety on all job sites.
* Maintain accurate records of safety performance and prepare reports for management.
* Stay updated on relevant legislation and industry trends related to health and safety.
* Consistently assess and revise the company's Health & Safety Program to ensure compliance with the latest OHSA regulations and to uphold certifications such as COR/ISO.

* Minimum 7 years of experience in health and safety management in the construction industry within a General Contractor focusing in the ICI sector.
* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
* Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Proven Leadership skills with the ability to influence others to follow safety practices, procedures, and regulations.
* Ideal candidates should have in-depth knowledge of the Ministry of Labour (MOL) and experience with complex high-rise equipment protocols.
* Ability to travel to various site locations from Oakville to Scarborough.
