An established national brand is looking for a proven Interim Finance Manager to manage a small, busy transactional team (Sales Ledger / Purchase Ledger). This is a fixed term contract for 9-12 months, covering maternity leave. The role will be based in the Maidenhead area, Buckinghamshire – office-based initially, but ultimately flexible with approximately 1 day per week in the office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing high volumes of transactions, month-end management, monthly treasury management (payment cycles, cashflow, forecasting, petty cash, & foreign exchange), monthly bank reconciliation, quarterly VAT returns, supporting with external audits, analysis and reporting of funding, as well as providing hands-on transactional support at peak times.
This would suit a Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA), or Newly Qualified / Finalist, with proven experience of managing and motivating small finance / transactional teams. It is essential to have strong Excel and accountancy systems skills; any experience with Access Finance will be highly advantageous.
