We are excited to be offering an immediate temporary Receptionist job this week! The role is three days this week, starting on the 21st of November, with hourly pay of £12.00 to £14.00 per hour.
We are eager to recruit a flexible, reliable, and positive temporary Receptionist. We need someone who can start Thursday and who feels comfortable working at a Warehouse sales event for a prestigious piano company. The hours are 9-6 pm.
The main purpose of this role is to greet people whilst they attend the Warehouse Sales event!
Key Responsibilities:
1. Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the event.
2. Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office.
3. Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls.
4. Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g., pens, forms and brochures).
5. Provide basic and accurate information in person and via phone/email.
6. Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries.
7. Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges).
8. Order front office supplies and keep an inventory of stock.
Skills and Experience:
1. Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role.
2. Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g., fax machines and printers).
3. Professional attitude and appearance.
4. Solid written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
6. Excellent organisational skills.
7. Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
8. Great customer service skills.
