Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a thriving independent Town Planning Consultancy with offices in the South East & Midlands on the hire of a Senior Planner (or Principal Planner).
Our client works with land and property owners, developers and investors on a wide range of projects. In this role you can expect access to schemes in the following sectors: Residential, Commercial, Green Belt, Education, Change of Use, Caravan Sites and more!
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead on projects and deliver a high-quality service to clients.
2. Demonstrate excellent report writing skills, with limited input from Directors and Ads.
3. Coach, motivate and support junior members of the team.
4. Work in a smart and commercially minded way – have a healthy work/life balance.
5. Provide clear and succinct planning advice.
6. Communicate clearly and concisely with clients, project teams and colleagues.
7. Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and time management, including meeting deadlines, managing workload independently and monitoring project milestones.
8. Work with our Marketing & Communications Associate to promote the business.
In this role you will be expected to;
9. Act decisively.
10. Show initiative and commercial awareness.
11. Demonstrate drive, adaptability and perseverance.
12. You’ll have experience of preparing or processing major applications.
13. You’ll have appeal experience.
14. Experience of the Plan-making process would be advantageous but not essential.
15. Driving license and access to a vehicle needed.
16. MRTPI, or working towards it.
