We are currently hiring for a Customer Service Advisor role available at Burscough for DS Smith a leading provider of sustainable packaging solutions, paper products, and recycling services worldwide.
This role is ideal for someone with good IT skills and is approachable, proactive and a multi tasker.
1. Role: Customer Service Advisor
2. Location: DS Smith Packaging, Red Cat Ln, Burscough, Ormskirk L40 0SY (100% office based)
3. Rate: £16.21ph
4. Contract length: 3-6 months
5. Shift Patterns: Mon-Fri, 35 hours per week, 08:45-16:30 with a 45 minute unpaid lunch
6. Start: ASAP
Responsibilities:
7. Processing customer orders within agreed timeframes
8. Coordinating artwork preparation with external suppliers
9. Gaining prompt approval to meet production timelines
10. Recovering origination spend through proactive customer invoicing
11. Analysing customer forecasts and forward planning stock replenishment orders
12. Proactively reducing made to order stock residing in the warehouse through daily review and customer liaison
13. Placing purchase orders for non-manufactured products within the DS Smith network
14. Acknowledging customer complaints and reporting dissatisfaction/failures
15. Discussing solutions with customers and following through those actions
16. Building strong relations with the Territory Manager by sharing internal and external information
17. Building strong relations with customers, gaining insight to their business, keeping them informed order status and answering queries
18. Working with the team and other internal colleagues to improve team and cross-departmental relations
Essential requirements:
19. Strong verbal and written communication skills
20. Good IT Literacy skills especially with MS Office
21. Previous experience using an in house system
22. Previous experience within a customer facing administrative environment (2+ years)
23. Ability to work on own initiative and multitask in order to meet demands
Desirable requirements:
24. Driving licence and use of a car
25. Knowledge and experience within a manufacturing environment
