Working in conjunction with the IAPT Service and DWP, the role supports people accessing primary care provision with their employment challenges. The role involves working with clients on a one-to-one basis in a community location. This could be to help with job retention, liaison with employers, or assisting people in finding and keeping paid or voluntary work.
Main duties of the job
As part of a wider team, you will work closely with mental health workers, partners, and other agencies. You will have an interest in working within the employment support sector, and knowledge of employment rights and job retention would be an advantage. You will demonstrate an ability to prioritise a caseload and have an understanding of the principles of the Equalities Act and how it relates to Employment Rights. Full on-the-job training will be provided for the right candidate.
