About the role
The Pre-Sales Service Design Consultant supports Sales Account teams by scoping, influencing, and promoting Jigsaw24’s service offerings. The role involves designing and delivering tailored service solutions that meet customer and partner requirements. These solutions span outsourcing and support, including monitoring, hardware maintenance, software support, service desk, remote management, and service improvement, for both new business opportunities and contract renewals.
This role directly contributes to enhancing customer satisfaction, driving business growth, and positioning Jigsaw24 as a leader in managed IT services.
Our Head Office is based in Nottingham, however, this role will be mainly homeworking during normal core hours. Some out-of-hours work will be required to maximise sales opportunities. Traveling to and from other Jigsaw24 office locations and customer offices will be needed both in and outside working hours. Occasional overnight stays will be required
Key duties and responsibilities are:
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
Understand Jigsaw24 services and evaluate customer requirements to promote value with the Sales team.
Produce quality proposals and presentations outlining our solutions.
Evaluate requirements to establish solutions that deliver business value.
Solution Design & Governance
Ensure completeness of solution requirements and provide authority for the total proposition.
Manage assumptions and risks throughout the solution lifecycle.
Prepare solutions for approval through the Jigsaw24 bid review process.
Tailor solutions to meet customer needs while maintaining integrity.
Ensure feasibility aligns with Jigsaw24’s services and delivery potential.
Operational / Internal Governance
Serve as the main contact for solution design information.
Create solution description documentation.
Discuss solutions with technical and business experts to validate merits.
Collaborate with the commercial team for service schedules aligned with solution design.
Establish and cost service transition projects with Project Management.
Continuous Improvement
Maintain and update Salesforce activity related to opportunities.
Contribute to service development activities for new propositions.
Stay informed about Jigsaw24 and industry IT services offerings.
Education, Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Communication & Collaboration
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Effective team player with experience leading virtual teams across sales and technical functions.
Collaborative experience with sales teams and Account Managers.
Technical Expertise & Experience
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; skilled in managing complex spreadsheets and creating engaging documentation.
Understand complex customer requirements and articulate them from their perspective.
Knowledge of market trends and IT service delivery best practices (ITIL).
Proven experience in managed service and outsourcing solutions.
Competent in generating documentation and solution proposals.
Analytical and Strategic Thinking
Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
Able to engage with CxO-level stakeholders in presentations and negotiations.
Develop and create commercial models.
Experience with services in the Jigsaw24 portfolio, including ITIL Aligned Service Desk and Cloud Services.
Knowledge of contracts involving TUPE.
Flexibility & Market Awareness
Demonstrates flexibility to meet customer deadlines, adjusting hours as needed.
Strong understanding of market trends and best practices in IT service delivery.

Knowledge of IT Bid Support Processes
Public sector procurement experience
