Brand new permanent vacancy Engineering Estimator CNC Machining
Now that one of our estimating team is planning to relocate in the New Year, we’re looking to take on an Engineering Estimator on a permanent basis to join our award winning team, keeping our customers happy, and supporting the business growth for 2025 and beyond. Located just off the A38, and easily accessible from the M5 motorway, between Gloucester and Bristol.
Are you an Engineering Estimator, used to producing quotes for work based on your understanding of CNC machined metal component parts (costing of materials, tooling, operations, processes, timings)?
Or perhaps you’re a time served CNC Machinist who has some experience of quoting and you’re looking to take the next step in your career with a move into a full time estimating role?

About you
As an Engineering Estimator, you will be comfortable dealing with customers and suppliers at all levels. Your ability to make costing and pricing estimations based on your knowledge of CNC machining work will make you an ideal candidate for this position.
Working for a precision engineering company, proud of their history and reputation, your skill in working closely with current, long established customers and carefully handling new client enquiries will be vitally important to the continued success and further growth of the business.
About the job - Engineering Estimator
With loyal customers across a wide spectrum of industry from aerospace to medical and many other industries in between, the variety of work being carried out will keep you on your toes, all the time looking to give good value for money estimations to our customers.
Working from engineering drawings supplied by your customers, your job will see you producing estimates based on your understanding of modern CNC milling and turning operations plus inspection times and costings of any sub-contract operations needed to produce components.
As part of the team with another Estimator and the Director, you will be estimating for long established and highly cherished existing customers and bidding for new business contracts, always looking to give real customer satisfaction.
Many metal treatments can be done in-house, but you will also be approaching suppliers from time to time to get quotations for any sub-contract services to include specialist operations and surface treatments too.

Some of the benefits which come with this Engineering Estimator position
In addition to a warm welcome, as a guide we’re looking to pay a salary of between £40,000 and £45,000, with room up to £50,000 if you can demonstrate your high level experience.
Working hours are 07:45 – 16:30 Monday to Thursday, 07:30 – 12:30 Friday.
