Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Midwife to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to expectant mothers throughout their pregnancy, labour, and postpartum period. This role requires a strong ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families, as well as the capacity to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
1. Provide antenatal care through regular check-ups and assessments of the mother and unborn child.
2. Assist during labour and delivery, ensuring the safety and comfort of both mother and baby.
3. Offer postnatal support, including breastfeeding advice and newborn care education.
4. Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems for documentation and reporting.
5. Collaborate with obstetricians, paediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
6. Educate patients on health practices related to pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting.
7. Manage time effectively to accommodate multiple patients while maintaining high-quality care.
Experience
1. A recognised qualification in Midwifery is essential.
2. Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory for newly qualified midwives.
3. Strong IT skills for managing patient records and documentation.
4. Excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks efficiently.
5. Exceptional communication skills to interact with patients, families, and colleagues effectively.
