Are you experienced in supporting vulnerable individuals to overcome challenges and achieve their goals? This could be the perfect opportunity for you to build on your existing skills and make a positive impact in a new way.
Join a large London charity dedicated to helping people who need extra support into employment. Based at the Treaty Centre in Hounslow (with free parking), you’ll work reasonable hours as part of a vibrant and supportive team, empowering local residents to transform their lives.
In this role, you’ll meet with 6 – 9 participants daily, providing one-to-one, tailored support to help them secure meaningful employment. Many of your clients will face significant barriers, such as:
Balancing caring responsibilities,
Rebuilding confidence after unemployment, or
Managing challenges like disabilities or limited English proficiency.
Your sessions will focus on practical, empowering steps such as:
Identifying career aspirations aligned with their skills,
CV and cover letter writing,
Job searching and interview preparation, and
Navigating financial decisions, like "better-off" calculations.
You’ll also advocate on behalf of your clients to local employers, build relationships in the community, and creatively address barriers—whether it’s sourcing work attire, planning travel to interviews, or finding solutions to personal challenges.
Why This Role?
Build on Your Skills: If you’ve worked as a Supported Housing Officer, Hostel Worker, or Resettlement Worker, this role offers a new way to use your experience.
Career Progression: Join a large organisation with opportunities to develop and grow.
