About the Opportunity
Our Strategic Markets team at Jacobs, located in Birchwood, Warrington, is looking for an Engineering Delivery Manager to initially lead a multi-discipline engineering team to deliver high-quality engineering services for specialist gases and process cooling systems for a highly regulated, technical project. You will be instrumental in driving project success by managing engineering design and integration, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
Working as part of our group, you will be exposed to national and international opportunities of significance to the business growth targets, delivering true value to our expanding markets and client bases. There will be opportunities to support bids for multiple, high value design, construction and commissioning work packages in the forthcoming 6-12 months and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and coordinate the efforts of engineering teams across multiple disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery from conceptual design to installation and commissioning.
2. Engage with clients and stakeholders to define project requirements and ensure solutions meet or exceed expectations.
3. Drive the implementation and adherence to safety and quality standards throughout all project phases.
4. Working with commercial colleagues, provide support to the management of our supply chain for the procurement and installation of engineering equipment, ensuring technical specifications and timelines are met.
5. Provide technical leadership across Process, Mechanical and Electrical Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) disciplines, supporting the design, procurement, and operational phases.
6. Mentor and develop team members, fostering an inclusive and innovative team environment.
7. Ensure project deliverables are met within scope, time, and budget constraints.
8. Implement and oversee project management practices that enhance project delivery and customer satisfaction.
9. Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and presentations to internal and external audiences.
Here's What You'll Need:
10. Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline; Chartered Engineer status preferred.
11. Extensive experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams in a nuclear or similarly regulated environment.
12. Proven track record in delivering engineering design projects.
13. Strong understanding of design, procurement, and project management principles relevant to nuclear industry.
14. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, capable of engaging and influencing various stakeholders.
