We breed sports horses, mainly for dressage. The stud is situated in the most magical location in East Dorset.
Our horses are kept in herds, live out 24/7 unless they need to be stabled. We have a team for maintenance, a groundwork trainer, farrier and vet - all living on Site. Our main aim is to develop a solid foundation in any of our horses, mentally as well as physically. We want these horses to be sound, confident, and well prepared for work and competition at the advanced levels when they grow older.
The existing team is brilliant and we are looking for some likeminded horse lovers (Calm, clever, funny, collected) to expand our team. We have high standards of care and expect all our staff to be fully committed to maintaining these standards on a daily basis. We work in connection with Haddon training, either offering a non ridden or ridden pathway. You will have opportunities to train with top horses and professionals. You will get an insight into the veterinary world especially during stud season. (Artificial insemination and Embryo Transfer).
You should have experience with handling foals, young horses and fit competition horses.Training will be in connection with the Haddon Apprenticeship Scheme.
We are interested in finding the right people to join the team, so would welcome anyone from schools leavers looking for a horsey gap year to more experienced staff wanting an enjoyable job within the existing team.
We offer great opportunities for hard working and committed team members.Apprenticeship salary, 30 hour week.
