Commercial Director – Adult Social Care
Location: Chorley, Lancashire
Salary: £80,000 per annum plus company car

Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with an adult social care charity located in the Northwest. They provide quality and innovative support to over 250 people across Greater Manchester and Lancashire to live independently in their homes. Services offered include supported living, residential, nursing, and respite care, supporting people with complex health and social care needs, dementia support, as well as vocational enterprises and transitional services.
They have recently identified a need in the business and are now actively seeking an experienced Commercial Director to join them. This is a brand-new role, reporting directly to the CEO and working alongside the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) overseeing business development, finance, and assets. As Commercial Director, you will have 3 direct reports: Head of Business Development, Head of Finance, and Head of Assets.
You will focus on the growth and sustainability of the company, emphasizing the future rather than immediate concerns. This is ideal for a forward-thinking individual who can identify existing areas where profit can be made, as the company already has a number of social enterprises they are keen to turn into viable commercial entities.
Requirements
1. Previous experience working in social care with a good understanding of how these services are commissioned.
2. Proven experience working in a senior role focusing on business development and/or finance.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
