Project Manager – SSE Distribution Framework
My client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee network upgrades within the SSEN distribution area, covering locations across Berkshire, West London, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, and Hampshire. This work forms part of a long-term capital project delivery framework expected to span four years.
The role involves responsibility for the profit and loss of projects, ensuring timely delivery with a focus on safety, sustainability, and quality. The successful candidate will foster collaboration across internal teams and stakeholders, support the tendering process, and contribute to securing future projects in line with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage project delivery, including planning, resourcing, and quality assurance.
* Build strong relationships with internal and external teams to ensure seamless execution.
* Promote a safety-first culture through visible leadership.
* Drive compliance with company policies and governance.
* Mentor and support team development, identifying talent for future growth.
* Manage client expectations and uphold the value proposition of the business.
Experience & Skills
* Proven management experience in delivering overhead line, cabling, or substation schemes (up to 400kV preferred).
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Commercial awareness with budgeting and financial control expertise.
* Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
* Capable of resolving complex issues and leading cross-functional teams.
