Supply Chain Manager Opportunity – Drive Performance, Inspire Teams, and Build Resilience.
We are partnering with a leading company to recruit a dynamic Supply Chain Manager to oversee and enhance their supply chain operations. This is a high-impact role with responsibility for global stock movements, primarily sourced from China, utilising both air and sea freight logistics.
You will be working for a well-established organisation based within the manufacturing and distribution industry, established for over 30 years, based in Tamworth – Free car parking is available. Hours of work are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday. Salary is circa £50,000
About the Role
The successful candidate will manage a team of six Supply Chain Planners, driving performance excellence and ensuring smooth end-to-end supply chain operations. Key responsibilities include:
Leading and mentoring a cohesive, high-performing team.
Implementing and monitoring KPIs to enhance efficiency and maintain transparency in supply chain operations.
Managing inventory control and resolving stock issues, ensuring the business never runs out of stock.
Collaborating with international suppliers, overseeing shipping logistics, and coordinating with procurement, logistics and warehouse teams to optimise delivery schedules.
Presenting supply chain performance insights and solutions to senior leadership, including the board of directors.
Key Requirements
Proven experience managing complex supply chains with thousands of SKUs.
Strong knowledge of air and sea freight logistics, particularly with suppliers based in China.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills, fostering a collaborative culture.
Expertise in forecasting, inventory control, and performance metric implementation.
