NRL are looking for a Technical Manager (Mechanical) – Design into Estimating to join our our Client's Northern team, focussing on high profile, technically complex mechanical and electrical projects across multiple sectors.
The role can be based from North Tyneside, Leeds, Manchester or Birmingham.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Our Technical Managers are a valuable part of our business, and their role will encompass both work winning and the delivery of live projects whilst providing strong functional leadership and design resource on projects in the area from winning the tender through to completion.
As our Technical Manager – Design into Estimating - you will:
1. Be accountable for design allocated bids & projects, ensuring that missing elements of design are suitably filled and are able to be taken off accurately. Including:
2. Plant and Equipment Schedules
3. Drawing mark-ups
4. Schematics
5. Sketches
6. Authoring of Contractors Proposals with wider Estimating team
7. Technically reviewing tenders and managing design risk & opportunities with a robust and transparent approach.
8. Input into derogations and qualifications within bids to manage risk and opportunity.
9. Technical coaching and development of Estimators and junior staff
10. The role is not an estimating role
