Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time, Term-Time Only)

Annual Salary: £20,941.30 - £22,835.30 (Term-Time Only)
Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week, Term-Time Only
The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work with students aged 11-16 with special educational needs, including Autism. Supporting our teaching staff, you'll assist students in the classroom and participate in practical outdoor activities such as Bushcraft and life skills. Your role will be essential in helping students grow academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide individual support while ensuring student well-being and safety.
2. Help students meet the objectives outlined in their Education and Healthcare Plans (EHCPs).
3. Implement positive behaviour strategies customized for each student.
4. Keep detailed records of incidents, accidents, and health and safety issues.
5. Promote social interaction and encourage teamwork among students.

No prior experience is necessary-just a genuine passion for working with young people. The ideal candidate will:
6. Have a strong desire to support and build relationships with students.
7. Be able to manage challenging behaviours with patience and positivity.
8. Take a creative, problem-solving approach.
9. Possess good communication and teamwork skills.
10. Have basic numeracy, literacy, and ICT abilities.
11. GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4 or equivalent) is desirable but not required.
