Head of Marketing Roadchef Motorway Services Location- National role with Support Office near Cannock Staffordshire Full time permanent position Hybrid working which includes visits to our locations and Support Office Salary £65k to £70K plus car or allowance, pension, enhanced health care and other benefits We are on the lookout for a Head of Marketing to continue and grow all marketing activity across the Roadchef business, (in particular future EV propositions) managing all customer digital, social and CRM programmes, bringing the voice of the customer into the business and driving internal communication and external PR, media and affiliate partnership initiatives including crisis management. You will need to be a self motivated, results driven marketing professional with a strategic mindset comfortable managing stakeholders and working directly with a board of directors. Preferably client side experience within hospitality, catering, travel or property centres such as shopping centres/ airports. As Head of marketing you will lead a small team so must be hands on with a passion for producing work with an excellent knowledge of marketing practice across a wide variety of disciplines, including research, communications and digital. Main areas of responsibility Digital & Online Oversee the Roadchef website to increase content, optimise performance, grow visit intent, build brand awareness and convert traffic to subscribers. Manage the agency relationships providing the Roadchef website and customer feedback platform. Identify opportunities to grow sales, visit intent and contact conversion from online activity and marketing campaigns. Work with brand partners to leverage their online and advertising presence in relation to Roadchef. Oversee management of Roadchef’s Apps and build the reward proposition. Work with the brand partner loyalty clubs to optimise promotional activity for a travel hub segment. Capture and share the customer insights as viable. Ensure all digital information and content (GMB particularly) are fit for purpose and up to date. Manage reputation.com in maintaining all listing information and content accuracy. CRM Grow, manage and optimise the our customer relationship platform, increasing the depth of customer knowledge, transaction information and behavioural insights. Engage the wider commercial team in order to fully utilise the CRM system for campaigns, brand communication and sales driving activity. Proactive PR strategy Work with the PR agency to build and execute an annual PR strategy which supports the strategic aims of the business. Drive our Vision, Mission and Values messaging through a calendar of PR customer and trade activities to grow brand awareness, influence positive brand reputation and grow top of mind visit association. Ensure maximum press coverage where appropriate in local and national media, through press releases, events and other related activities. Build our corporate reputation in people investment and ESG, leveraging any awards or company recognition. Build our trade profile and sector leading operational credentials. Design & Communication Engage the commercial team and wider business to identify creative requirements for POS, internal and external posters and signage, online and on digital screen content, audio advertising, video content and marketing campaigns creative. Work closely with designers, brand partners and agencies to ensure they are clearly briefed and required materials are delivered to the required specification and on time. Supporting new site planning applications where necessary with design, materials and public engagement. Support all company significant events with communication materials including brochures, banners, invites, videos, customer vox pops, event filming, props, presentation content and recognition materials. Market Research and Customer Feedback Manage key customer reports and online reviews to improve the external reputation of the Roadchef brand. Brief and manage appropriate research agencies to maximise insight value to the business. Work in partnership with brand partner research teams on joint projects and programmes where appropriate. Transport Focus Survey Support the wider business with leading, planning and executing the annual Motorway Services User Survey research. Help to build Site Capex proposals based on customer research feedback. Manage research process during the annual 3 month research period. Build strong relationships with partners in the Transport Focus Team. Develop the MSUS future integrating the EV and HGV sub surveys from TFS. EV Proposition Development and Marketing Support and drive the customer proposition development for Roadchef onsite EV charging Support and drive the Roadchef offsite Charging as a Service partners fulfillment solution Support and manage the EV marketing communications as required in the future Experience Knowledge of marketing practice across a wide variety of disciplines, including research, communications and digital. Excellent planning and organisational skills, including those of project management. Great attention to detail. Ability to build strong working relationships with a wide and varied audience. The ability to motivate and influence others and is demanding of others to achieve results. Relevant Marketing qualification educated to degree level.
