Title: Shipping & Export Administrator
Salary: Dependent on experience
Working hours: Monday - Friday - Day Shift
Location: Loughborough, Leicestershire
VH Talent, is supporting our client to appoint an experienced Shipping & Exports Administrator to join their global engineering organisation. The successful candidate will work alongside the Despatch department and report into the Despatch Manager. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the entire shipping and export process is managed efficiently and compliant with company regulations and government procedures

The Shipping & Export Administrator Role:
* Create and review all invoices and shipping and export documentation
* Provide excellent customer service throughout the entire shipping process, liaising with couriers, freight forwarders and logistic partners. Along with various internal departments too
* Produce, update and monitor spreadsheets to collate data to share with wider teams and Senior Stakeholders
* Generate shipping documentation, including packing lists, invoices, and address labels for all outbound shipments.
* Complete export checks for licensing approvals and customs requirements ensuring correct valuation, commodity codes, CPC delivery and payment terms are used and accurately declared
* Arrange outbound freight with carriers, customer freight forwarders and audits
* Update all relevant systems from: customer portals and internal business systems
* Manage all export transactions and ensure completed in accordance to company policies and procedures
* Support with enquiries and provide relevant information or solutions as required
You’ll Need:
* Previous experience of operating in a manufacturing or engineering setting within shipping and exports
* Experience of overseeing and managing shipping and exports documentation and licences
* Attention to detail, able to input data and keep accurate records in accordance with shipping and export regulatory
* Able to prioritise and work to deadlines
* Able to communicate with internal and external personnel and happy to present to small and large teams
* Problem solving skills with the ability to use own initiative to drive tasks to completion
* Proficiency in Microsoft packages, including: Excel, Word and experience of using SAP Global Trade Services system would be advantageous
