Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our enthusiastic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, preparing them for their GCSEs and fostering a love for literature and language. You will be instrumental in helping students develop critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that meet the diverse needs of our students.
2. Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
3. Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and participate in departmental meetings and activities.
4. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and well-being.
5. Engage with parents and carers to support students’ academic and personal development.
6. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice.
Person Specification
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English or a related field.
8. Proven experience teaching English at secondary school level, with a track record of achieving excellent student outcomes.
9. Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
10. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
11. A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for teaching and learning.
12. The ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
