Senior Prosthetist Roehampton
The role holderwill be an integral member of the senior clinical team and will providementoring support to less experienced prosthetists, graduates, and students.
The prostheticdepartment at Queen Marys Hospital consists of a large MDT includingprosthetists, orthotists, consultants, nurses, physiotherapists, occupationaltherapists, a psychologist and wider referring teams. The role holder will beinstrumental in working closely with the prosthetic team to advance and improvethe delivery of the service.
At Roehampton,there is an emphasis on puttingthe patient first and a focus on improving the lives of individuals throughinnovation and service development.
In addition toclinical work, the successful candidate will use evidence-based practice and undertake clinical audit inline with the requirements of clinical governance.

Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
Use a range of shape capture methods to successfully fitand deliver prostheses in a timely manner.
Mentor students, graduates and clinical apprentices.
Support less-experienced colleagues.
Treat all users with dignity keeping them informed ontheir prosthetic treatment and the basis for actions/advice.
Responsible for continuous service improvements.
Working with and leading various MDT tasks.
Organising and managing a complex caseload
Leadby example and ensure the prosthetic clinical team is engaged with, andmotivated to achieve, any patient and business-led objectives in place.
Support and assist the clinical lead and assistantclinical lead with reporting tasks as required.
Support the team to meet all KPI targets set throughoutthe year.
To liaise with the Workshop Manager to address identifiedquality problems and assist in providing effective solutions, thus minimisingunnecessary wastage.
Use IT systems such as REHAPP to correctly record patientdetails and to process orders deliveries.
Agree objectives with your manager and report regularlyon progress.
Practice within the code of ethics and guidelines of theHCPC.
Participate in continuing professional development andensure your CPD portfolio is maintained.
Participate in clinical audit.

10. BSc Prosthetics & Orthotics
11. Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist
12. HND Prosthetics
Must also be fully HCPC Registered

Proven practicalexperience working successfully as a Prosthetist with all levels of limbdifference.
Upper limbexperience preferred but not essential.
