The role of an Employment Adviser is to provide advice, guidance and 1:1 support for people recovering from drug and/or alcohol addiction who require support to move into employment through accessing the new Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Drugs and Alcohol Service. About YouYou will have excellent communication skills, the ability to develop a range of close links with partnerships; including other GCC teams, welfare to work providers and employers; with the aim of increasing skills base, knowledge and the opportunities available. You must be customer focused and ideally have knowledge of working with people who have barriers to accessing the labour market, employment policies, procedures and welfare services; including the ability to develop your understanding of local labour-market demographics; enabling you to work with local employers to match their needs to the abilities of individuals.
