We are looking for a highly motivated Financial Accountant to join our dynamic team. You will support the Finance Manager partnering with the business to deliver excellent operational and financial results that lead to ongoing improvements in our systems and processes.

Your Key Responsibilities
* Work with the Finance Manager and the team to strive for excellence in the finance support to the business.
* Preparation of monthly management accounts in conjunction with the FP&A team.
* Preparation of monthly UK Finance Board Papers.
* Completion of monthly reporting and supplementary analysis, ensuring UK reporting deadlines are achieved.
* Responsible for capex process, compliance, set up and reporting
* Responsible for lease process, compliance, set up and reporting
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* Supporting the finance manager with budgeting and reforecasting
* Liaise closely with Financial Manager on any accounting issues to achieve compliance with Unimetals policies.
* Play a key role in interim and year end audits with our external auditors, Deloitte, to achieve a smooth and efficient audit and completion of statutory accounts.
* Supporting the finance manager with internal and external audit requirements
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives as we strive to work more efficiently
* Willing to travel to sites to support the business as required.
About You (Key Skills/Competencies)
* Qualified Accountant preferred, with ideally at least 2 years post qualification experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role.
* Experience working closing with Accounting Systems essential, such as via implementation, as a Systems Accountant or maintenance of systems. Current system in place is Navision.
* Experience with working in a SOX style control environment would be beneficial.
* Experience with budgeting and forecasting, and analytical review against actual results.
* Experience of working in a PLC or large business environment would be beneficial, in particular, experience of liaising with the company's Finance Team and understanding the importance of their reporting requirements
