Job summary
This role is an exciting opportunityto join the Sustainability Team at Liverpool University Hospitals, whilst completing the Level 3 Junior Energy Manager Apprenticeship. This role is a two-year fixed-term contract.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work within a dynamic team of energy and sustainability professionals within the Estates and Facilities Department.
Day to day management will be provided by the Carbon and Energy Manager. This includes providing projects to manage and supporting the training that will be provided by an external apprenticeship management company. At least 20% of the successful applicants' role will consist of formal training.
Main duties of the job
Main duties of the role include:
1. Data collection, analysis and reporting; presenting data in a clear and attractive format, for example monthly energy performance reports
2. Assist with the creation and implementation of plans to improve the carbon footprint of the Trust
3. Complete internal energy audits, surveys and checks energy monitoring
4. Assist in reviewing policies and practices in light of new / changing regulation, best practice and Trust policy
5. Assist in the creation and delivery of awareness days, behaviour change campaigns and presentations to staff about best practice

The Net Zero Energy Officer will play a key role within the Sustainability Team at Liverpool University Hospitals, whilst completing the Level 3 Junior Energy Manager Apprenticeship. This role is a two-year fixed-term contract.

6. Qualified to at least A-Level (x2) or equivalent
7. With a minimum of 3 GCSEs at grades A* to C (including Mathematics & English)

9. Level 3 Junior Energy Manager apprenticeship
