A national SME is looking for an HR Manager to Head a small Human Resources team to support senior management and drive the HR function. The HRM will be key in supporting the business units nationally, the role is hybrid with travel nationally 2 to 3 times a month.
Your new role
The Human Resources Manager (HRM) will be responsible for leading HR processes, driving people management initiatives and balancing the HR direction for all locations within the UK, ensuring that strategy, policy and procedure are aligned and implemented.Key Responsibilities
1. Overall responsibility of the full HR lifecycle, including Recruitment, L&D, Employee Relations, Reward, Performance Management, Hr Metrics, policies, strategic direction and organisational development and design.
2. Translate key data into an effective andmercially focused HR and people strategy, working with senior management and influencing them on the best course of action.
3. Providepany-wide information by interpreting people data and analysing figures on staff turnover, cost per hire etc.
4. Give counsel and overseeplex employee relations issues such as grievance and disciplinary cases and manage difficult cases with professionalism.
5. Establish departmental accountabilities for the range of HR functions from talent acquisition to health and safetypliance.
6. Devise a recruitment strategy and oversee its implementation. Interview hires where necessary.
7. Co-ordinate remuneration policies and advise senior management on staff salaries in reference to external benchmarks.
8. Update and review HR policies, procedures and guidelines and enforce organisation values.
9. Champion a performance culture and continuously review productivity and employee development, making rmendations for improvements.
10. Control the HR budget and report on current and future staffing costs and initiatives.
11. Lead on special projects andmunicate and direct on strategy and implementation.
12. Champion change initiatives acquiring buy-ins from executives.
13. Ensure legalpliance is met concerning all HR activities and initiatives.
14. Challenge the executive team where appropriate and suggest alternative paths.
15. Continuously review the responsibilities of the HR department and make bold decisions when necessary.

What you'll need to succeed
Strong understanding of all aspects of HR Management
Up-to-date and relevant employment law knowledge
Ability to build strong relationships with and influence senior stakeholders across the business
Effectivemunicator
Effective influencing and negotiation abilities
Proven experience of managing the HR function for a SME
Master’s degree in HR or CIPD Level 5 or 7
