Salary:£41,200 per annum
Working hours: Day Shift 07:00 – 19:00 – Night shift 19:00 – 07:00

Role Overview:
Managing a professional shift security team across two locations in Central London. This includes creating a safe and secure working environment while priortising customer service across visitors and staffing. This involves overseeing operations and logistics for the two sites, the duties including staff management, administrative tasks, and recruitment processes. It is essential to monitor and identify suitable candidates for selection to ensure the team's effectiveness in maintaining security and providing excellent service.
What you'll do:
Operations
1. Support all security operations in compliance with all Statutory, Company, Legal and Contractual requirements.
2. Ensure adequate and timely responses to incidents and changed customer requirements.
3. Ensure manning of the site at contracted levels with regular shift patterns and with trained and qualified staff.
4. Work in partnership with EMCOR colleagues, ensuring all aspects of Site Security, Health & Safety and Fire Prevention requirements are effectively managed.
5. Management of the security control rooms (where applicable)
6. Fully understand the use of all IT systems and applications and to monitor the correct application of the EMCOR and client IT Security Policies.
7. To maintain liaison with relevant local, external agencies (e.g. Police, Fire) on a regular basis.
8. To assist in the management of any external activity that might impact on the customers business.
Staff Management
9. To manage a Security Team that is well motivated, informed, focused and clear about its role and objectives.
10. Ensure appropriate motivation and formalised development training of staff
11. Maintain fair and consistent grievance and disciplinary procedures.
12. Arrange extra cover, standby and replacement Security Officers from within the Team as required
Administration
13. Provide accurate and timely information for preparation of monthly and planning reports.
14. Ensure that all cover, standard and extra, is accurately recorded
15. Ensure provision of adequate information for proper personnel administration of employees.
16. Ensure assignment instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and any other relevant Security Manuals are updated and maintained in response to incidents. Ensuring that all team members have read and signed to say they understand the requirements of the procedures.
17. Ensure that all incidents and requests for assistance are accurately recorded on the correct forms.
Recruitment
18. Monitor staffing requirements, recommending appropriate action to management.
19. Identify subsequent training needs and ensure employee is trained to required standards.
20. Provide sufficient site training to ensure adequate numbers of qualified standby staff.
Additional Information:
DS licence essential. CCTV licence preferred
NSV clearance to SC level - 3yrs+ resident in the UK
BS7858 and BPSS clearance to be obtained prior to start. SC clearance

Who you'll be:
21. Clearance to BS7858 to be able to obtain
22. SIA Licence – Security Guard (SG)
23. SIA Licence – Door Supervisor (DS) (if applicable to scope)
24. SIA Licence – CCTV (if applicable to scope)
25. First aid qualification
26. Customer service experience
27. Ideally 2 years management experience in a Corporate Security environment, HM Forces or Police.
28. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written English
29. Excellent IT skills including Microsoft office
30. Experience of report writing, agenda setting and chairing duty briefings
31. Negotiating skills
32. Planning, organizing and delegating skills

34. Cooperative with a ‘can do attitude’
35. Physically fit to carry out all functions
36. A flexible approach to work, and changing demands
37. Polite and courteous when dealing with staff and clients
