Finance Manager - Ivybridge - £35-45,000
Trial Balance Consulting are pleased to be assisting our long-standing Ivybridge based client in their search for an experienced Finance Manager. The position works with a very well established and highly successful business that designs and manufactures high quality commercial equipment, which can be found in production facilities across the UK and beyond. With ambitious growth plans for the future, this is a pivotal finance-number-one position which takes a lead role in ensuring efficient financial controls.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and supervising a finance team of three, the Finance Manager will benefit from the autonomy to develop, implement and improve existing processes & procedures to ensure that the function is well placed to add benefit where continued business growth is concerned. In addition to the core finance function, the successful candidate will also head up key commercial elements including HR administration, commercial insurance requirements and assist with the IT function.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Accounting controls for the group holding company
2. Production and commentary of monthly management accounts
3. Budgeting and cashflow forecasting
4. Liaising with Chartered Accountants
5. VAT and statutory tax preparations
6. Stock valuations
7. Banking controls
8. Managing cashflow
We’re looking for an experienced Finance Manager, ideally with experience gained within an SME, either professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), or qualified by experience. You’ll need to possess excellent IT systems skills, particularly in MS Excel. You’ll be managing a team of three transactional colleagues, so a history in team management would be ideal, as will a proven track record in managing other commercial aspects of a small business.
