Are you an experienced veterinarian with an adventurous side who is starting to get itchy feet? Maybe you have a young family and want to relocate to a rural community with great schools. Do you love hiking? Skiing? Farmers Markets? A vast range of delicious restaurants and towns that just keep on getting better? An industry leading animal health provider, with modern clinics based in New Zealand and Australia is recruiting. With walks, shops, restaurants, golf, fishing, and areas of outstanding natural beauty on your doorstep, did I mention the skiing; this can be a role built around your lifestyle.
They currently have two veterinary practices looking to increase their workforce, specifically in the Large Animal space, however they are open to mixed positions. These clinics are proud to serve their communities, get amongst the locals and enjoy a great work life balance while still maintaining that crucial family feel.
They provide an extensive range of veterinary services to dairy clients, as well as other production animals, working dogs and companion animals. Developing a culture of 'team first,' where everyone pulls together when there's work, and relaxes when it's time, is key here. They are a dedicated team with a real focus on well-being who want their best for patients, employees, and the practice.
Due to growth, they require experienced vets (4years+), but we will consider less, if it is the right person with the right values. You will develop as a veterinarian and gain experience by working on your own cases and having key clients. See things through with plenty of mentoring from the highest level of veterinarians. Over time, you can also develop in the management space and learn all about the behind-the-scenes parts of a veterinarian business if that's what interests you.
Salary, benefits, and hours: $110k+ per annum, depending on experience. CPD is actively encouraged and a portion can be used for wellbeing (some people have bought ski passes with their portion, others join the gym or do a photography course!). You will be working 42.5 hours per week with a sensible OOH rota in place. A relocation allowance is provided, veterinary fees paid, and staff discounts applied for companion animals. A work vehicle, laptop and phone are provided, plus 6 weeks of free accommodation on arrival (if relocating). Plus, there is plenty of 'food for good,' when on the go; fruit, nibbles, and snacks to keep you going.
Choosing a new practice is a big decision. You are a great veterinarian. You care about the patients and the people bringing them in. Most importantly you want a place where you feel valued, can learn and grow.
So, what is next?
Well, we can't get the whole story in a job advert, so dust off your CV - don't worry if it is not up to date; ask any questions (about any location). I will answer honestly, no hard sell. I can also put you in touch with previous and current employees. We reference check you... So, it is only fair that you get to reference check us!
We look forward to hearing from you
