Purchasing Assistant
We are seeking a Purchasing Assistant to manage the procurement of construction materials and support our operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchase construction materials and raise purchase orders.
Schedule deliveries and manage hired plant.
Prepare procurement schedules and maintain supplier databases.
Handle invoice queries and liaise with accounts.
Research suppliers, negotiate pricing, and monitor market trends.
Communicate delivery issues to the construction team.
Maintain relationships with vendors and provide cost analyses.Qualifications:
A relevant apprenticeship or degree in procurement is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time role, with standard office hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, though flexibility may be required to meet deadlines. Salary: £TBC. Start date will be in the New Year.
