Job Description
An Agile Delivery Manager at Trayport is responsible for the successful delivery of business outcomes, working alongside developers, product managers and client managers.
This is an exciting role which includes managing delivery against our company OKRs while collaborating with all parts of the business, using a data-driven approach to time and cost forecasting, and fostering an environment of continuous improvement where frictions and blockers can be eliminated on an ongoing basis.
What you'll be doing?
* Work with development teams to ensure business outcomes are well understood and the team is well equipped to deliver on them.
* Lead strategic planning sessions to come up with OKRs and supporting initiatives, working with business units.
* Track, analyse, and report on key initiative deliverables; ideally using flow metrics.
* Create and maintain time and cost forecasts for projects.
* Come up with suggestions and alternative approaches when faced with delivery challenges.
* Work with all necessary teams in order to proactively address risks, impediments and bottlenecks to keep deliverables on track.
* Strive to eliminate dependencies, and manage them when elimination is not possible.
* Manage stakeholder needs and expectations; including members of the senior management team.
* Provide coaching and mentorship to agile teams and stakeholders; regularly looking for opportunities for continuous improvement and ways to optimise processes across the business.
* Coordinate with other Agile Delivery Managers to ensure an optimal use of team capacity.
* Work with teams and individuals to improve performance around workflow management and value delivery; putting an emphasis on optimising for flow and controlling WIP.
* Provide coaching and guidance to development teams, other Agile delivery managers and product managers; ensuring they are working to their potential to drive better product delivery.
What are we looking for?
* Proven experience as an Agile Delivery Manager, Agile Project Manager, Agile Coach or Scrum Master, or related experience.
* Pragmatic approach to Agile and ability to adjust techniques to work in the right context.
* Proven experience working with development teams.
* Comfortable with ambiguity, highly autonomous.
* Open minded, inquisitive, life-long learner.
* Possesses situational and cultural awareness.
* Demonstrable experience facilitating Agile events such as planning, sizing, retrospectives, and stand-ups.
* Passion for continuous improvement and learning.
* Autonomous, creative and capable of working in a team.
